Job Description

As a Test Technician, you will conduct electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical testing using defined procedures. You will interpret test documentation, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings, and operate test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters, and complex test fixtures. Your role involves performing visual inspections to identify manufacturing defects, diagnosing failures, and creating detailed test results and product failure reports. You will collaborate with various teams to resolve product issues and provide feedback for test process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical testing using defined procedures.
• Interpret test documentation, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Operate test equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters, and complex test fixtures.
• Perform visual inspections to identify manufacturing defects.
• Diagnose and isolate failures to the component level and initiate non-conforming product processes.
• Create detailed test results and product failure reports.
• Process materials through internal inventory and ERP systems.
• Support first-time builds and prototype testing.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and cross-functional teams to resolve product issues.
• Provide feedback for test process improvements and escalate issues as required.
• Interact with external customers for technical feedback when needed.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in PCB testing to troubleshoot and locate faults on circuit boards.
• Experience with troubleshooting tools such as oscilloscopes, voltage meters, and multimeters.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience in electronic assembly and use of hand tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• IPC 610-A certification is highly preferred.
• An AS degree in Electrical or a related field, or relevant work experience (5 years preferred).
• Experience collaborating with production, engineering, and quality teams.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
