Job Description:

The NICU Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing critical care management for adult vent patients, including vent weaning, trach care, and airway management for all patient populations.

Responsibilities:

• Critical care management for adult vent patients
• Experience with vent weaning guidelines
• Trach care management
• Emergency and standard airway care for all patient populations
• EKG procedure
• Blood gas analysis and technique to draw ABG sample
• RT Medication administration
• RT plan of care, assessment, and progress evaluation
• Oxygen therapy
• Code Blue, Trauma, STEMI response
• Documentation and charge for therapy provided
• Physician communication
• Safety standards and checklist completion
• Infection prevention standards

Requirements:

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications
• TX state license
• NBRC RRT certification
• NICU experience preferred
