You'll be the driving force behind strategies that improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and enhance production performance, helping deliver innovative specialty chemical solutions that advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life. Working alongside Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams, you'll turn data-driven insights into meaningful improvements that strengthen plant performance and create lasting value.In this role, you will: Lead equipment criticality assessments and risk analyses to identify critical and balance-of-plant (BOP) assets, prioritize reliability improvement opportunities, and mitigate operational risk.Evaluate, implement, and continuously improve equipment condition monitoring technologies, including vibration analysis, oil analysis, infrared thermography, and emerging predictive maintenance tools, to enhance asset reliability and performance.Develop and optimize asset and maintenance strategies aligned with business objectives and operational risks.Execute reliability improvement plans to increase asset availability, reduce downtime, and improve equipment performance.Optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs using Reliability Centered Maintenance principles, condition monitoring data, maintenance history, and vendor recommendations.Analyze reliability, maintenance, production loss, and cost data to identify trends and drive plant performance improvements.Facilitate Root Cause Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Weibull analysis, and other reliability studies to prevent recurring failures. Provide engineering expertise for troubleshooting, repairs, equipment selection, maintenance planning, and turnaround activities. Ensure new and modified equipment is integrated into maintenance systems, reliability strategies, spare parts programs, and operating procedures prior to start up.Champion Management of Change processes and collaborate across Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to drive safe, sustainable, and reliable production. Required Qualifications that Enable Your SuccessBachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university; Mechanical Engineering preferred. 5+ years of maintenance, reliability, or project engineering experience within chemical, petrochemical, refining, or other heavy industrial manufacturing environments. Strong knowledge of industrial equipment troubleshooting, repair methods, reliability engineering principles, and maintenance strategy development. Experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and maintenance workflow processes. Ability to perform and interpret pump and system curve calculations and equipment performance evaluations. Experience applying condition monitoring techniques such as vibration analysis, oil analysis, and infrared thermography. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications that Drive You ForwardCertified Reliability Engineer (CRE) certification. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Experience with SAP S/4HANA maintenance and reliability processes. Working knowledge of applicable industry standards including NFPA, API, ASME, and Process Safety Management requirements. Experience evaluating the condition of tanks, piping systems, and pressure vessels using applicable API, ASME, and STI standards.
