Job Summary:
Client's is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist II (Patient Services Representative II) to join its Patient Service team in Charlotte, NC. The PSR II serves as the face of the organization by delivering excellent patient care while performing quality blood collections and specimen processing. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, exceptional customer service, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and patient confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, geriatric, and forensic specimen collections following established procedures.
• Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing while ensuring specimen integrity.
• Verify patient identity and demographic information prior to collection.
• Ensure specimens are labeled correctly in the patient's presence and obtain required patient initials/signatures after venipuncture.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Follow all company policies, safety standards, and confidentiality guidelines.
• Provide exceptional customer service by creating a professional and comfortable experience for patients.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Travel to multiple Patient Service Centers or physician offices as needed with minimal notice.
• Perform duties accurately and independently under the direction of the Area Supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required .
• Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred .
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required only in California, Nevada, and Washington).
• 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience including:
  • Venipuncture
  • Pediatric collections
  • Geriatric collections
  • Capillary collections
• Two years of Patient Service Center (PSC) experience preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Basic keyboard and data entry skills.
