Primary Therapist, Evening ProgramChicago, Illinois, United StatesWeekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. Patients and their families rely on Compass Health Center when in crisis – every day, we help people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.About This RoleAs a Primary Therapist, you'll work thoughtfully with our patients to develop and implement their individualized treatment plans. This role will consist of conducting individual therapy meetings, collaborating with patients' outpatient teams, and leading patients through their overall treatment program. You'll partner closely with the entirety of our treatment teams, including Group Therapists, Family Therapists, and Prescribers to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care.Our centrally located Chicago office is nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of North Center, not to mention the social events hosted on our fully furnished rooftop!This is a full-time position that is Monday through Friday with the specific schedule based on program needs. The scheduling will cover evening hours, 12:00-8:00 PM CST.What You'll Do:Completing initial intake evaluations to determine diagnosis and appropriateness for programUtilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as other evidenced-based therapiesOverseeing initial and continuing insurance needs of patientsMeeting with patients individually to assess progress and guide treatment planningCoordinating care with patient's individual providers to ensure continuity of careAssessing patient's progress and need for higher level of care or dischargeCommunicating with patient's family members or support system when indicatedCharting in our electronic medical records systemEngaging in crisis managementProviding group therapy, as neededOther duties as assignedWho You Are:Are a Psychologist or Master's level therapist (required)Hold one of the following licenses: PhD, PsyD, LCSW, or LCPC (preferred)2+ years clinical work experience post-Master's (strongly preferred)Have knowledge and experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as other evidenced-based therapiesHave experience with patients in crisis, ideally prior experience working in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, inpatient hospital, or residential settingWe are committed to a fair and equitable work environment. This range includes multiple career path levels across the organization; where you fall in the range is dependent upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, your years of experience, type of experience, location, and education/certifications.
