Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Summary:
The Staff Nurse in the ICU provides comprehensive direct patient care, utilizing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to meet the physical, psycho-social, safety, rehabilitative, and educational needs of patients and their families. This role involves collaboration with healthcare team members and managing patient care activities in a fast-paced critical care environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient condition promptly upon admission and continuously monitor clinical status.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions following clinical protocols and certifications.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, ancillary staff, and support services to coordinate patient care.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, standards, and safety regulations during shift activities.
• Supervise and direct ancillary staff to deliver efficient, quality care to ICU patients.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid CA State RN license uploaded via Nursys within the last 2 weeks.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience.
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications, with valid expiration dates.
• Demonstrate proficient clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient management skills.
• Capable of working night shifts (3x12 hours) with weekend rotations.
• Comply with travel and local candidate eligibility requirements under Tier 3 Travel Compliance.
