Mechanical Engineer – Pressure Vessel and Tank Design Direct Hire | OnsiteOxford Solutions is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team in a full-time, onsite role. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on design work, solving complex technical challenges, and collaborating closely with fabrication teams. A current Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.ResponsibilitiesPerform and review engineering calculations for pressure vessels, tanks, and related structuresProduce design drawings, 3D models, and fabrication packages using AutoCAD and InventorDevelop, review, and maintain fabrication and assembly procedures in accordance with ASME, API, AWWA, and NFPA standardsProvide technical guidance and support to engineers, drafters, fabrication, and field teamsAssist with troubleshooting and resolve design-related issues during fabrication or installationCommunicate with clients, inspectors, and vendors to ensure technical accuracy and project alignmentQualificationsPE license requiredBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, or related engineering field5+ years of experience in pressure vessel or tank designStrong working knowledge of ASME Section VIII, API 650/653/620, AWWA D100, and NFPA standardsProficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor, and MathCAD or comparable engineering toolsStrong analytical, structural, and problem-solving skillsAbility to collaborate across engineering, drafting, fabrication, and field operations
