Shift Leader

A Shift Leader is one who consistently demonstrates our core values, embraces the Chick-fil-A culture and has a servant’s heart. They have a passion for people and serving others, have strong character, take initiative and work with a sense of urgency at all times. Our Team Leaders are responsible for supporting senior leadership in executing daily operations and keeping team members accountable for each component of Operational Excellence and our Recipe for Service. A Team Leader’s two main areas of focus are completing tasks so that the restaurant runs effectively, and coaching/developing team members. Team Leaders lead by example and set the tone that others will follow. 

What does a shift look like as a Shift Leader?

As a Shift Leader, you'll help lead daily restaurant operations by coaching team members, ensuring exceptional guest service, and keeping the shift running smoothly. You'll set the pace for the team, solve problems in real time, and support either the front and back of house to create an outstanding experience for every guest. Throughout your operational shift, you'll encourage team members, maintain high standards for food quality and cleanliness, problem-solve, and help develop future leaders. Every day is fast-paced, rewarding, and an opportunity to make a positive impact on both your team and your community.

Shift Leader Responsibilities:

• Participating operationally in day-to-day activities in high-volume, fast-paced Restaurant
• Provide real-time feedback and reinforce positive behaviors
• Offer immediate and respectful response to guests' needs
• Assist in training of new hires, set the tone for a shift, and act as a role model for our team
• Be a friendly, encouraging team player
• Open and/or close, lead shifts, key holder
• Count drawers and finalize day
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
• Ensure compliance with all Chick-fil-A operational standards and procedures

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of leadership experience
• Must be available to work full-time, including SATURDAYS
• Must have reliable transportation
• Cheerful and positive attitude
• Customer service oriented
• Detail-oriented
• Able to multitask while working fast-paced
• Works well independently and in a team environment
• Be willing and able to work a flexible schedule and required to work Saturdays
• Have the ability to lift and carry 25lbs on a regular basis
• Have the ability to stand for long periods of time
