The Role
Were looking for a Senior Accountant (AP, Inventory & Cost Accounting) with a strong CPG foundation to join our growing Finance team and sit at the intersection of financial accounting and physical inventory management. This role owns two critical areas: the day-to-day AP and general ledger accounting that keeps COCOLABs books clean and audit-ready, and the cross-functional inventory cost accounting work that connects our warehouse operations to accurate financial reporting in NetSuite.

You understand the unique financial complexities of CPG — landed costs, multi-location inventory, trade spend, and the constant pressure to keep physical and financial inventory in sync across a fast-moving product catalog. Youll work closely with our Controller and cross-functional partners across Operations, Commercial, and People teams to ensure timely vendor payments, precise inventory cost accounting by SKU, and reconciled, operationally accurate financial records.

This is a hands-on ownership role with meaningful scope, ideal for someone who thrives on detail, process improvement, and bridging the gap between finance and operations in a fast-growing, mission-driven CPG company.

What Success Looks Like

Vendor payments and employee reimbursements processed accurately, on time, and with minimal follow-up.

Ensure quantitative accuracy for all inventory related costs.

Validate and support reconciliations across all warehouse locations are timely, well-documented, and operationally trusted.

Clean, well-organized financial records that support smooth month-end and year-end closes.

Strong reconciliations and documentation that stand up to audit review.

Finance and Operations speak the same inventory language — discrepancies are caught early and resolved collaboratively.

What You’ll Do
Accounts Payable & Expense Management

Own the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice processing, approvals, and vendor payments.

Monitor and manage the accounting inbox, responding to vendor and internal requests in a timely and professional manner.

Reconcile vendor statements, research discrepancies, and resolve payment issues.

Process and review employee expense reports using Airbase, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Support annual 1099 preparation and reporting.

General Ledger & Month-End Close

Prepare and post journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records.

Support month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, prepaids, and fixed asset tracking.

Cash applications for customer deposits.

Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.

Assist in monthly financial statement review, including P&L, balance sheet, and general ledger detail.

Inventory Cost Accounting & Operations

Own the ongoing cross-functional alignment of operational and financial inventory management practices in NetSuite.

Own 3-way PO matching processes.

Review NetSuite financial inventory adjustments for operational accuracy.

Escalate technical issues related to the landed cost module appropriately and accuracy.

Once validated for financial and operational accuracy, support configuration of NetSuite inventory stock reporting to flow into Shopify for out-of-stock mitigation.

Audit, Systems & Process Improvement

Support annual audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.

Assist with accounting system enhancements and implementation efforts, with a near-term focus on the NetSuite landed cost module.

Continuously identify opportunities to strengthen workflows, internal controls, and documentation as the business scales.

What You’ll Bring

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

4+ years of progressive accounting experience in a CPG environment — ideally in a branded consumer goods, wellness, or personal care company.

Deep familiarity with the financial realities of CPG: landed costs, multi-location 3PL inventory, co-manufacturer POs, COGS by SKU, and DTC/retail channel accounting.

Strong experience with accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and month-end close.

Hands-on experience with NetSuite required; experience with the landed cost module, inventory management, or multi-location reconciliation is a strong plus.

Familiarity with Airbase and proficiency in Excel.

Comfort working cross-functionally with Operations and Commercial teams — you can translate between financial and operational perspectives.

Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.

Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Comfortable working independently in a remote-first, fast-paced environment.

A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for improving processes.
