About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Information and Technology Officer (CITO) to spearhead its global technology strategy and capabilities. The CITO will be responsible for ensuring that AI, digital innovation, data systems, and IT infrastructure are in line with the organization's mission, enhancing its effectiveness, and accelerating conservation outcomes worldwide. This strategic leadership role involves advising the executive team on emerging technologies, building partnerships with technology providers, and overseeing the implementation of best practices to support the organization's work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise-wide IT and digital strategies, with a focus on AI, cybersecurity, and global IT operations, and a proven track record of leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives. Applicants for the CITO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and at least 5-10 years' experience in a senior executive role. The role requires deep expertise in enterprise systems architecture, ERP oversight, data platforms, and global IT operations, as well as a strong commitment to people leadership and the ability to inspire high performance in a globally distributed team. The CITO will also be responsible for cybersecurity, risk, and data governance, and must have a proven track record in these areas. Experience in mission-driven or global nonprofit organizations is strongly preferred, and the successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a passion for leveraging technology for global impact and a commitment to the organization's values.
