Qualifications Completion of an accredited physical therapy program and passing the American Registry Examination or an approved national examination Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice as a physical therapist in Florida Prior experience in physical therapy preferred Member of the state and national American Physical Therapy Association preferred Professional attitude and appearance Proficient administrative and public relations skills Thorough knowledge of physical therapy principles, methods, materials, and equipment Knowledge of hazards to patients during treatment and necessary precautionary and remedial measures Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, obtaining their cooperation Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with medical staff and other personnel Ability to understand and adopt a physician’s written or oral directions and recommend treatment programs with expected benefits Demonstrate emotional stability to cope with demands of patients and staff Must maintain patient and employee confidentiality Knowledge of Medicare and third‑party reimbursement preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
