Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Authorization in Lumberton, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will help support a secure, welcoming environment by managing badge access, monitoring entry points, and assisting visitors, patients, and staff with professionalism. You will use computer or tablet systems, communicate clearly, and help address security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor and access records in accordance with facility procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned healthcare facility areas and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by providing directions, communicating site procedures, and helping to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, and/or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
