Application Developer

Application DeveloperWe are seeking a creative and knowledgeable Application Developer with a particular interest in working with diverse and complex datasets to help the team build and maintain data transformation and web applications. Those applications provide the trading desk and other business users including external clients with critical market and product data insights, helping support business and trading decisions. The ability to analyze and understand complex business/market data sets is particularly important given the complexity and diversity of our products.Responsibilities:SPG team members must possess excellent verbal and written communication skillsSPG team members must be able to work collaboratively with other senior developers but also independently and with minimal supervisionAs Developers, SPG team members must have a strong sense of dedication and willingness to take ownership of problems and issuesQualifications:Java (Spring Boot framework) web application designRelational databases and SQL (experience with OLAP a plus)Knowledge of financial products, particularly fixed income a major plusScripting skills (Python, Perl), web UI and Scala experience are all desirableAdditional Details:Work location: New York, NYSchedule: Hybrid 3 Days a Week OnsiteSpruce Technology, Inc. is a mid-size, award-winning technology services firm with a steadily growing portfolio of commercial and government clients.
