Responsibilities

• You will participate in plant safety programs and lead investigations into mechanical-related incidents, serving as the incident owner when appropriate
• You will ensure that all plant projects and equipment comply with applicable codes and standards, including ASME, API, OSHA, and EPA requirements
• You will provide technical support for plant projects, from scope development and equipment specification to ensuring sound engineering design
• You will support the rotating equipment program to reduce repair frequency and develop repair strategies for fixed equipment
• You will strengthen the plant's mechanical integrity program and assist in developing the workforce on equipment reliability techniques
• You will troubleshoot equipment failures, track reliability and maintenance KPIs, and drive continuous improvement teams
• You will manage reliability improvement projects through the full AGATE lifecycle, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with cross-functional groups

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience applying industry codes such as ASME, API, and NACE in a chemical plant setting is highly valued
• Familiarity with formal project management processes like the AGATE methodology is a strong plus
• A proven track record of reducing rotating equipment failure frequency and extending asset life is preferred
• Holding a Professional Engineer (PE) license is advantageous
• A background in chemical or industrial processing environments will help you ramp up quickly
• Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is beneficial for tracking KPIs
• Previous leadership of reliability improvement teams or participation in major turnarounds is a strong asset
