OB-Hospitalist Needed In Illinois

An OB-Hospitalist is needed in Illinois to start ASAP and work ongoing. The locum assignment needs to begin on 12/7/2026 and is a long-term need (6+ months) for startup coverage. The current staffing model of this program includes 1 MD. The locums will cover 24-hour shift times and 10 shifts per month. The facility uses an TBD EMR system and performs 364 deliveries annually. Two years of experience are required, and the facility performs 364 annual surgeries.

Requirements & Certifications include being board certified. The facility is in an IMLC state with a Level IIe NICU program. There is no in-house MFM but they are readily available via phone. The facility has CNMs and has 16 LDRP rooms, 3 bed OBED (2 transitional beds) with PP overflow on the 4th floor (8). OBED Beds include 3 beds (overflow to 2 former triage beds) and 2 ORs adjacent to OBED. OB/GYN hospitalist deliveries per month are 115 total (10-20 per hospitalist) with OBED visits per month at 170-180/month. C-sections per month are 30% of deliveries (10-15% high risk). NICU level is Level 2e (moving towards Level III) and monthly surgeries total 391 c-sections in 2025. Circumcisions are performed by Pediatrics/Neonate. A $2000 referral bonus is received for any referral who works 30 days. Competitive rate for weeknight call + premium if called in, weekend call equals 6 regular hours per day + premium when called in.
