Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Controls Programmer on the Central Coast, based near Santa Maria, to program and support commercial building automation systems.
Impact
- Deliver BAS programming and integration tailored to each building.
- Make startup and commissioning smooth so projects finish on time.
- Cut client service costs with well-tested installations.
Responsibilities
- Program building automation systems, primarily Niagara N4.
- Perform point-to-point checkout and functional testing.
- Create and modify graphics, sequences, and user interfaces.
- Support commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting on new and retrofit systems.
- Integrate HVAC, lighting, and security into unified platforms.
- Work with field techs and engineers on integration issues.
- Maintain documentation, drawings, and version control.
Must-Haves
- Five or more years in commercial building automation controls.
- Niagara 4 certification.
- Proficiency in BAS programming, graphics, and integration.
- Startup, commissioning, and field troubleshooting experience.
- Local to the Santa Maria area with a stable work history.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience across multiple BAS platforms such as Tridium, Distech, or Siemens.
- HVAC or mechanical systems background.
Compensation and Logistics
Competitive salary depending on experience, plus benefits. Based on the Central Coast near Santa Maria.
