In this contract position near Mooresville, NC, you’ll work alongside passionate educators and help shape a positive learning atmosphere every day.
Ideal candidates bring a heart for service, adaptability, and a genuine desire to foster student growth. You’ll play an essential role in helping students achieve their full potential, providing academic, emotional, and social support under the guidance of licensed educators.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Demonstrated experience as a Paraprofessional or Teacher Assistant, especially in Exceptional Children programs
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow instructional plans and collaborate with teachers and specialists
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional relevant certifications a plus
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with classroom instruction, adapting lessons to meet individual student needs
- Support students with daily activities, reinforcing learning goals and providing encouragement
- Collaborate with the classroom teacher to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Help manage classroom behavior and foster a safe, welcoming environment
- Maintain accurate records and communicate observations to teaching staff
