The Automotive Technician is responsible for servicing and repairing a wide range of vehicles including passenger cars and heavy duty trucks. Working primarily as an individual contributor or within a small team, the technician uses a combination of diagnostic tools and software to identify vehicle issues and perform precise repairs while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle diagnostics using both manual techniques and software tools
• Repair and maintain engines to ensure optimal performance
• Service brake systems including inspection, repair, and replacement
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems across various vehicle types
• Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes and fluid flushes
• Replace worn or malfunctioning parts and components
• Perform safety inspections to comply with regulatory standards
• Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and performance issues
• Maintain detailed documentation of services performed and parts used

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in automotive repair
• Proficiency in engine diagnostics and inspections
• Experience with electrical repairs and suspension systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective time management in a shop environment
