Pediatric Physical Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our outpatient team. This position involves providing therapy to pediatric patients with a range of developmental and orthopedic challenges. The ideal candidate should have experience working with both children and adults in a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and oversee physical therapy evaluations for pediatric patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Provide guidance and education to patients and their families regarding therapeutic exercises and treatment goals.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapy License (or Compact License) in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric experience required.
• Experience with common pediatric diagnoses including developmental delay, autism, torticollis, and orthopedic conditions.

Work Schedule

This position offers a flexible work schedule, typically involving four 10-hour days, from Tuesday to Friday. Clinicians will have the opportunity to schedule their own patients, with dedicated time for inpatient evaluations and documentation.

Department Overview

The Pediatric Physical Therapy department primarily focuses on outpatient services, while also providing early intervention when applicable. Clinicians may occasionally assist with inpatient acute care as needed. The facility is equipped with a warm water therapy pool to enhance therapeutic sessions.

Additional Information

• Weekend and holiday work is minimal with only occasional on-call requirements.
• Dress code includes scrubs or business casual attire.
