Clinical Nurse Coordinator

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator is a high-functioning ambulatory role that requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail. This position is aligned with one provider while collaborating with a team of nurses to ensure comprehensive patient care within a specific disease population.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate care with medical oncology and surgical oncology teams.
• Assist in obtaining patient records and scheduling necessary scans.
• Work collaboratively with nursing team members for patient cross-coverage.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers.

Schedule:

Shifts will consist of 10-hour days, Monday through Friday, scheduled by the manager. There are no weekend or floating requirements. Attendance at required orientations and trainings will occur in the first week of employment.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical RN experience with adult and pediatric patients.
• Experience in patient-facing roles, including skills such as IV placement, port accessing, skin and wound care, tracheostomy care, and PEG tube care.
• Preferred experience in Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Emergency Department, or Intensive Care Unit.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid RN license in the state of Kansas.
• Current AHA BLS certification is required.
• New graduates are not accepted for this position.

Additional Information:

Employees may have up to two shifts canceled per month without cost to the organization or pay to the employee, requiring a minimum of two hours' notice for cancellations.
