Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Cath Lab

Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab, where you will utilize your nursing expertise to provide high-quality care to patients. In this role, you will engage in patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Shift Information

Day shift with on-call rotation.

Minimum Years of Experience

2 years of experience required.

Certifications/Requirements

• BLS/BCLS certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with team members in caring for patients.
• Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and state laws.
• Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation in accordance with established standards.
• Develop, initiate, and execute patient care plans based on individual needs and physician prescriptions.
• Educate patients and families to facilitate understanding and effective care.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement activities.
• Provide clinical guidance to other units/departments supporting patient care plans.
• Engage in problem-solving and resolution of systems breakdowns affecting patient care.
• Promote a positive professional and organizational environment.
• Support personal development and engage in continuous learning initiatives.
• Participate in peer review and feedback opportunities.
• Maintain timely patient flow and respond to triage inquiries.

Education and Experience

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Education verification required).
• 3 years of RN experience with 1 year of critical care experience required.
• Cardiovascular intervention experience required.
• Current RN licensure in Wisconsin or Compact state required.

Holiday Coverage

Holiday coverage is required.

Additional Requirements

Candidates must successfully pass an EKG test.
