Customs Trade Agent

Responsibilities Coordinate the documentation required by US Customs/Government Agencies for entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers. Provide impeccable customer service. Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release using database, SOPs, tariff book, internet or customs sources. Enter and process various import‑related documentation for submission to US Customs; manage limited PGA interactions. Maintain and keep all shipment documentation current, in compliance with record‑keeping requirements. Adhere to all international importing regulations. Collaborate with other internal staff and departments to deliver high‑level service to customers. Process agency brokerage shipments and ensure all government and organizational policies are followed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; no industry or work experience required. A minimum of one (1) year of experience using computer systems in a professional, educational, or comparable environment. Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle high volume, time‑sensitive work and work independently with minimal supervision. Comfortable using multiple systems and reference materials; able to interact with internal staff and management at all levels. Preferred Qualifications Experience with customs or freight forwarding is a plus (not required). Work Schedule and Location Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Hybrid only). Candidates must live within a 50‑mile radius of 2349 Aviation Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46241. Mandatory overtime and company‑recognized holidays may be required during periods of high volume. Pay $16.85 – $23.60 per hour.
