GIS Analyst (ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise)Location: Glendale, AZPosition Type: Contract/Contract to hireSchedule: Monday–Friday (Onsite)Overview: We are seeking a skilled GIS Analyst to design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise Geographic Information System (GIS) applications and databases that support critical business operations. This role is ideal for a GIS professional with experience in ESRI ArcGIS technologies, enterprise geodatabases, application development, and spatial data analysis. The successful candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and end users to develop innovative GIS solutions that improve operational efficiency and decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesGIS Application DevelopmentDesign, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise GIS applicationsResearch and evaluate requests for new GIS functionality and system enhancementsGather business requirements through stakeholder interviews and needs assessmentsDevelop GIS solutions using established standards and best practicesGIS Data & Database ManagementMaintain and update enterprise GIS databases and geodatabasesSupport legacy database integration and migration effortsDevelop SQL queries and manage spatial data relationshipsMonitor application performance and ensure data integrityTechnical Support & AdministrationProvide technical support and troubleshooting for GIS applicationsManage application changes using formal change management processesDevelop and maintain GIS system documentation, architecture, and user guidesImplement and monitor application security and performance metricsCollaboration & TrainingWork closely with business stakeholders, consultants, and vendors to deliver GIS solutionsProvide training and technical guidance to end usersCreate documentation, support materials, and training resourcesAssist with project planning, scheduling, and prioritizationRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Geography, GIS, or a related fieldMinimum 2 years of experience supporting ESRI GIS technologiesExperience with: ESRI ArcGIS Desktop ArcGIS Server Enterprise GeodatabasesStrong understanding of database structures and SQLExperience supporting Microsoft Windows environmentsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with ArcGIS EnterpriseProgramming experience with Python and/or JavaScriptExperience developing GIS web applicationsKnowledge of GIS application security and performance optimizationExperience integrating GIS with enterprise business systemsFamiliarity with GUI/User Interface designExperience with statistical analysis and data visualizationTechnical SkillsESRI ArcGIS DesktopArcGIS ServerArcGIS EnterpriseEnterprise GeodatabasesSQLPythonJavaScriptGIS Database AdministrationSpatial Data AnalysisWeb GIS TechnologiesMicrosoft WindowsWork EnvironmentOnsite in Glendale, AZ Monday–Friday business hoursParticipation in an on-call rotation may be requiredOccasional overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededIdeal CandidateExperienced GIS professional with strong ESRI expertiseSkilled in application development and database managementStrong customer service and communication skillsSelf-motivated and able to manage multiple prioritiesPassionate about leveraging GIS technology to improve business operations through innovative geospatial solutions
