Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner

Overview PeaceHealth is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work in Thoracic Surgery at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington. Responsibilities Join a thriving thoracic surgery service line with an experienced and collegial thoracic surgeon and nurse practitioner. Participate in clinic (preoperative and postoperative evaluation) of thoracic patients. Participate in hospital rounds. Perform inpatient consults. Assist in surgery (open, thoracoscopic, robotic). Perform procedures (chest tube placement, removal, thoracentesis, placing sutures and suture removal). Write orders, complete accurate documentation. Take call with the Thoracic Surgeon. Patient education and counseling focusing on thoracic and pulmonary pathology and treatment. Benefits EPIC EMR. Competitive compensation plus bonus and relocation assistance.
