Warehouse Receiving Lead The Warehouse Receiving Lead coordinates the safe, accurate, and timely receipt of incoming product. This position leads day-to-day receiving activities, works closely with the Warehouse Manager, and communicates receiving issues to Project Coordination, Sales, Project Management, and other warehouse team members. The role is accountable for receiving documentation, damage and shortage reporting, scheduling, system accuracy, and the proper use of warehouse equipment. Key responsibilities include leading daily receiving activities, reviewing the receiving calendar, planning staffing and resources, unloading and inspecting incoming product, photographing and documenting freight damage, recording received product accurately, communicating shortages and problems, maintaining accountability for receiving equipment, supporting training and process improvement, and representing the company professionally. Safety and equipment requirements include following company safety procedures, using equipment safely, reporting unsafe conditions, and maintaining an orderly receiving area. Required qualifications include experience in warehouse receiving, knowledge of receiving documentation, ability to use business software, organizational skills, clear communication, attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and ability to lead the receiving team. Preferred qualifications include commercial furniture industry experience, experience using furniture dealership software, prior experience leading warehouse personnel, and forklift certification. Physical requirements and work environment include lifting and moving product, ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and work in an active warehouse environment.
