Job Summary

KIN. Social is looking for a warm, polished, and organized Host/Hostess to join our growing front-of-house team.

As the first and last point of contact for many of our guests, our Host team plays an important role in setting the tone for the entire KIN. Social experience. We’re looking for someone who is genuinely welcoming, confident communicating with guests, and able to manage the flow of the dining room while remaining composed during busy service.

Previous serving experience is a plus , particularly for candidates interested in growing into additional front-of-house roles.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome and acknowledge guests as they arrive and depart
  
  
• Manage the reservation and waitlist system accurately
  
  
• Provide accurate wait-time estimates and communicate updates to guests
  
  
• Seat guests strategically based on reservations, table availability, server sections, and overall service flow
  
  
• Answer phones and assist with reservation and general guest inquiries
  
  
• Communicate special requests, celebrations, and important guest information to the service team
  
  
• Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming host stand and entrance
  
  
• Assist with menus and other front-of-house materials
  
  
• Communicate closely with servers, bartenders, managers, and support staff throughout service
  
  
• Assist the front-of-house team when needed to help service run smoothly
  
  
• Complete assigned opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous host or restaurant experience preferred
  
  
• Previous serving experience is a plus
  
  
  
• Warm, friendly, and professional demeanor
  
  
• Strong communication and guest-service skills
  
  
• Organized and able to multitask effectively
  
  
• Comfortable managing reservations, waitlists, and changing table availability
  
  
• Ability to remain calm and welcoming in a fast-paced environment
  
  
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
  
  
• Willingness to learn and receive feedback
  
  
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods
  
  
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
