Cardiovascular Sonographer

UNC Health - Cardiovascular Sonographer Incentives : select full-time positions are eligible for up to $15,000 in commitment incentives. Salary Range : $35.87 - $55.43 per hour (Hiring Range). Pay offers are determined by experience and internal equity. Hours : Per Diem, Part-time, and Full-time available. Locations : Opportunities are available in a variety of locations, including UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill and Hillsborough, UNC Health Rex in Raleigh and Holly Springs, UNC Health Johnston in Smithfield, UNC Health Rockingham in Eden, UNC Health Chatham in Siler City, and UNC Health Caldwell in Lenoir. Summary Employs radiologic sciences technology to perform a variety of patient care, technical, and diagnostic tasks targeted to the care of patients with cardiovascular disease. Major tasks include ultrasound imaging, patient preparation and post procedure care, procedure room set‑up and cleaning, and quality monitoring. Education Requirements Associate’s degree in Sonography, Radiology or a related field, OR Completion of a twelve (12) month ultrasound program. Licensure/Certification Requirements Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or registry eligible and become registered within one (1) year from date of hire. Must maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually. Professional Experience Requirements Cardiovascular Sonographer I: No prior experience required. Cardiovascular Sonographer II: One year minimum experience in acute hospital setting.
