Responsibilities

Draw blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures.

Prepare specimens for laboratory testing with accuracy and attention to detail.

Create a trusting environment by explaining procedures to patients and addressing their concerns.

Maintain accurate records and documentation of collected samples and patient interactions.

Ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment in line with safety protocols.

Perform routine specimen processing and handle logistics to support laboratory operations.

Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.

Required Skills

Proven phlebotomy skills with experience in specimen collection from diverse patient populations.

Excellent customer service skills to foster trust and comfort with patients.

Strong data entry and recordkeeping abilities.

Attention to detail to ensure error-free specimen collection and documentation.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Minimum of 6 months of direct phlebotomy experience required; over 1 year preferred.

Flexible schedule including availability for weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime.

Reliable personal transportation to and from the worksite, with a commute within 20-25 minutes.

Must be punctual, dependable, and able to adhere to scheduled shifts without excessive absenteeism or tardiness.

Keyboard/data entry experience is required.
