Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our laboratory team. This role is essential for performing a wide range of laboratory tests and ensuring accurate results for patient care.

Shifts and Schedule

• Shift Type: Nights (8:00 PM - 6:30 AM)
• Schedule: Monday to Thursday with variable night shifts
• Shift Length: 10 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician
• Required Certifications:
  
  
  • BLS (AHA) certification
  • Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) via AMT or ASCP
• Must be proficient in all areas of the lab, including Hematology/Serology, Chemistry/Coagulation, Microbiology, and Blood Bank
• Generalist experience is required; no phlebotomy skills are necessary

Technical Skills

• Experience with LIS systems (e.g., Epic, Wellsky, URT for QC, Data Innovations for middleware)
• Working independently during the graveyard shift

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests and analyze results across multiple disciplines
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of tests performed
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide accurate and timely patient information

Work Environment

• Dress Code: Scrubs or business casual attire with closed-toe shoes
• Orientation: Department-specific orientation will be provided
• Weekend and holiday work may be required

Location

Position available in multiple locations within the region, including City, State . Candidates must be able to commute within a radius of 60 miles.
