Employees | Value | Execution | Relationships/ppAssist in the supervision and administration of project safety initiatives, compliance, and training programs designed to maintain a safe and healthy work environment and ensure compliance with established regulations./ppA working knowledge of health and safety standards at a level normally acquired through completion of a bachelors degree in occupational health and safety or a related field, along with relevant work experience and;Possess a valid OSHA 500 and/or OSHA 510 designation and/or;Possess an academic degree in Occupational Health and Safety and/or;A valid certificate as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP)/ppA bachelors degree in Safety Management, Environmental Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety, or similar field of study.Previous experience with electrical construction.Possess a valid OSHA 500 and/or OSHA 510 designation.Possess a valid certificate as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP)./ppThorough understanding of and ability to enforce all federal, state, local, and company safety related regulations; stay up to date on regulations and best practices.Ability to recognize hazardous situations and recommend corrective measures is essential.Requires strong organizational skills and attention to detailAdvanced knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications.Highly proficient in communication and public speaking and presentations; Leadership and supervisory skills are essential.Must maintain confidentialityAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and/or projects simultaneously, changing priorities as necessary.Must be a team player and possess the ability to share valuable information with team members to increase department expertise.Must be able to interact professionally and effectively with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others./ppPromote a positive safety culture in a professional manner among site supervision and workers.Assist in overall supervision and administration of safety, compliance, and training activities.Assist site supervision in identifying, documenting, and determining resolutions to hazardous and potentially hazardous and/or unsafe working conditions and behaviors.Observe and provide coaching to workers and field supervision in safe and best practices.Assist in completion of and/or review of completed JHAs, Permits, Emergency Action Plans, MOPs, SOPs, and other proactive safety related documentation.Conduct visual and documented safety inspections and audits using a cloud-based document control program, tracking open items and following up to ensure abatement.Provide and coordinate safety training as required including but not limited to New Hire Orientation, Fall Protection, Confined Space, Excavation Training, Toolbox Talks, and Safety Stand Up topics.Visually inspect and document safety equipment inspections.Respond to, investigate, provide detailed reports, and follow up on any safety related issues/incidents, including compiling data, photographs, statements, etc.Manage safety related documents through company and client databases.Attend Trade Partner toolbox meetings.Prepare and post safety meeting minutes, issue safety bulletins, and distribute and post incident data.Assist in emergencies as needed.Perform additional duties as assigned./ppIndividual salaries will be assigned based on consideration of a combination of industry experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other factors pertaining directly to the essential functions of the job.We offer outstanding benefits, includinghealth benefits that begin on Day 1!Competitive Health, Dental, and Vision benefits includingMedical, Dental, and Vision plans with no employee premiumCompany paid Life and ADD Insurance, with options to purchase additional coverageHealth Savings Account with annual Employer ContributionFlexible Spending Account, offering both Health Care Spending and Dependent Care Spending401(k) with employer match(fully vested on day 1!)Paid Holidays PTO/ppMust possess a valid OSHA 30 designation or the ability to obtain an OSHA 30 designation.Required to maintain a valid drivers license.Will be subject to the Companys drug screen, MVR, and background check programs.Will be subject to the Clients drug screen and background check programs.May be required to submit to periodic background checks and drug screens if position requires access to security sensitive business locations and/or systems.This position may require some travel (lt;10%).Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities - AAP/EEOThis position will be primarily located onsite in the Smithville, MO area.
