Cheshire Pharmacy is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Retail Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Cheshire, CT! Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
• Process and verify prescription orders, including data entry into pharmacy management systems
• Handle insurance billing, prior authorizations, and resolve claim rejections
• Provide excellent customer service at the pharmacy counter and over the phone
• Maintain and organize pharmacy inventory, including receiving and stocking medications
• Prepare prescription labels and package medications in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Support daily pharmacy operations to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow

Requirements:

• Active Connecticut Pharmacy Technician registration or ability to obtain one
• Previous retail or compounding pharmacy technician experience preferred
• Familiarity with pharmacy software and prescription processing systems
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a high-volume environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced retail pharmacy setting
• PTCB or NHA certification (CPhT) is a plus
