Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Position Overview Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) reports to a Physical Therapist. The role provides therapeutic interventions within an interdisciplinary environment consistent with qualifications and ethical standards. Licenses and Certifications Current, valid state PTA licensure or certification Valid CPR certification preferred Qualifications Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program 0–1 year of experience Roles and Responsibilities Implement treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities (heat, cold, electrical stimulation). Observe patient responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings and concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist. Provide instructions to patients and families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and home progress support. Support Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, offering additional observations and insights. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care. Other duties as assigned.
