BD Excellence Staff Engineer

Becton Dickinson seeks a Staff Engineer to lead continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives across manufacturing and support functions at an El Paso facility. The role involves deploying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, coaching cross-functional teams, and driving sustainable process improvements aligned with organizational strategy.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support BD Excellence strategy deployment, maturity assessments, and integration into daily management systems
- Facilitate Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping, and Lean projects to eliminate waste and improve safety, quality, and efficiency
- Analyze operational KPIs, develop performance dashboards, and monitor project benefits realization
- Train and coach associates through all organizational levels on Lean tools, problem-solving, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Lead site-level strategic improvement projects from inception through completion with risk management and stakeholder communication
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing, continuous improvement, engineering, or quality experience
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Advanced analytical and data interpretation skills with Excel and Power BI proficiency
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation abilities
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and improvement initiatives
