This position involves providing specialized care for neurology and neurosurgical patients, including post-surgical care and management of various neurological diagnoses. The role requires proficiency with the NIH Stroke Scale and experience in neuro patient care, primarily on the day shift. Job Details Position Description: Job ID 3471664 Seeking experienced neuro care nurses to support a busy neurology/neurosurgical unit. The RN will float between units as needed and deliver personalized patient care in a fast-paced environment. Required Qualifications: 1 year of experience, ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale certification, proficient in BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes, neuro procedures, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry, post neurosurgery care, procedural sedation, spinal injury, traumatic brain injury, and electronic fetal heart monitoring. Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 11/02/2026 through 02/01/2027. Additional Information: Candidates must have neuro experience, be comfortable with the NIH Stroke Scale, and proficient at caring for post-surgical neurology patients and other neurology diagnoses. The unit is designated as a stroke center and Level 3 Epilepsy Center, with a designated stroke unit. Candidates should be willing to work the specified schedule, including every other weekend and three of five specific holidays. Submission Requirements: Must include responses to questions regarding prior experience at a Providence facility, along with two references covering 1 year (or 6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years, prior to start date.
