Job Title: Registered Nurse

Experience: Minimum of 2 years RN experience in acute care, spine and vascular experience preferred
License: Registered Nurse

Must-Have: Two years of acute care RN experience


Description:
A professional nurse is accountable for the care of a group of patients.
The Registered Nurse focuses on safe, effective patient and family-centered care.
Customer satisfaction and quality outcomes are essential components of the role.
The RN is responsible for assisting in maintaining a financially stable unit.
Promoting personal development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education is vital.
The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members.
Using the caring processes of the Kristin M. Swanson Model of Care, the RN assesses, develops, implements, and evaluates the plan of care.
Focusing on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction is fundamental.
The RN utilizes educational and professional experiences in the delivery of quality care.
Mentoring and precepting staff is a key responsibility of the RN.


Job Responsibilities:
Perform assessments and reassessments per policy or as warranted by patient condition.
Demonstrate the ability to make sound independent decisions.
Initiate, prioritize, and implement the plan of care.
Review and revise the plan as indicated and collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
Utilize resources appropriately to support the needs of the organization, patient, and family.
Monitor and document responses to clinical interventions.
Facilitate, coordinate, provide, and evaluate education specific to patient and family needs.
Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel.
Function as a mentor or preceptor and encourage teamwork.
Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement.
Participate in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts and implement practice changes.
Comply with regulatory standards.
Participate in the Practice Governance model.
