Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care treatments for adult and geriatric patients.
• Perform respiratory therapies according to physician orders and department policies.
• Conduct EKGs and arterial blood gas (ABG) testing.
• Monitor patient responses to therapy and report significant findings.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records, flow sheets, and billing documentation.
• Follow infection control and patient safety protocols.
• Provide supervision or guidance to respiratory care staff when delegated.
