Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care treatments for adult and geriatric patients.
- Perform respiratory therapies according to physician orders and department policies.
- Conduct EKGs and arterial blood gas (ABG) testing.
- Monitor patient responses to therapy and report significant findings.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records, flow sheets, and billing documentation.
- Follow infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Provide supervision or guidance to respiratory care staff when delegated.
