The Engagemen tSpecialist buildsa sustainable network of supportandserves as a vital link between behavioral services with culturally faith based communities.This incumbent servesas the primary liaison between HSI and faith-basedconstituents to foster understanding and collaboration on behavioral health needsand ensure mental health services are incorporated into the faith-basedsettings. This role requires a unique ability to navigate the complexities of community dynamics, creating and nurturing relationships that weave together a rich network of resources and supportfor clients.QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED Seekingindividuals with personallifeexperience. One (1) year experiencein substance-abuse, mental health, or related fieldispreferred. Certification or completion of required training and experience to be certified as a recovery support specialist within one(1)year. Must possess a validdriver’slicense,personal vehicle and insurance. Flexibility to attend community meeting/events after hours and on weekends. Intermediate level PC and Microsft Suites skills, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.RESPONSIBILITIES
Organize monthly meetings with faith-based leaders to establish connections and assess the mental health needs of their congregations and communities. Host weekly collaborative workshops and information sessions (in-person and virtual) to foster mutual understanding and coordinated care between faith-based communities andbehavioral health providers. Facilitate connections between Peer Recovery Advocates and faith-based communities to sharepersonal lifeexperiences and promote empathy and understanding. Educate faith-based leaders and congregations on behavioral health topics such as mental health awareness, trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and recovery support. Organize training sessions and summits around national observances (e.g., World Mental Health Day, National Suicide Prevention Month, Overdose Awareness Week) to integrate mental health into ministry efforts. Provide advocacy training to faith leaders to help them support congregants in accessing behavioral health services. Promote the(certified recovery support specialist)CRSS credential and encourage faith-based individuals to pursue certification to enhance recovery support within congregations. #J-18808-Ljbffr Habilitative Systems, Inc.
