Communications Specialist Location: Los Angeles, CA Schedule: Onsite 3 to 4 days per week, Monday through Thursday Duration: Approximately 3 to 4 months, with potential for extension through November Pay Rate: $40/hour About the Opportunity We're partnering with a leading entertainment and technology organization seeking an experienced Event & Communications Specialist to support a high-profile, enterprise-wide technology showcase this fall. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys managing complex events from concept through execution, and excels at bringing cross-functional teams together through clear communication and exceptional organization. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage timelines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure successful event execution. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate logistics, demonstrations, presentations, and event operations. Serve as the primary point of contact for operational needs, including event services, catering, vendors, invoices, promotional items, and registration. Draft and edit content for event websites, registration pages, invitations, signage, presentations, and other event collateral. Develop internal communications to promote the event across multiple channels while maintaining consistent messaging and branding. Prepare event briefs, stakeholder presentations, meeting notes, task trackers, and project documentation. Provide onsite coordination before and during the event, ensuring seamless execution and resolving issues as they arise. Track project progress, identify risks proactively, and collaborate with project leadership to keep initiatives on schedule. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of professional experience in event planning, communications, project coordination, or a related field. Experience supporting large-scale corporate events with 100+ attendees . Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills. Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to execution. Advanced proficiency with: Microsoft Excel Microsoft Word Microsoft Office Suite Apple Keynote Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience supporting large entertainment, media, or technology organizations. Experience using: Adobe Creative Suite WordPress Asana Interest or experience in technology, innovation, AI, or media and entertainment.
