Behavioral Health Tech - Crisis Triage CenterHiring Range: $20.07 - $24.58 per hourAdditional Shift Differentials as high as $1.25 per hourShifts can include days, nights, weekends, and holidaysBenefits at a GlanceComprehensive Coverage: Health, Dental & VisionGenerous PTO: Up to 19 days + 2 mental health days + 10 holidays (pro-rated for part-time)Fully Paid YMCA Membership for you and eligible family membersCompany-Paid Life & Disability InsuranceStudent Loan Assistance & Professional Development403(b) Retirement Plan with Company ContributionsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Pet InsuranceFree Wellness App (2MorrowHealth)Collaborative, Supportive Team EnvironmentPrimary Responsibilities:Take appropriate measures to meet the client's daily basic needs for health and safety, including but not limited to the following tasks:Prepare and serve mealsConduct safety checks of the unitsMonitor clients according to the assigned levels of observationProvide transportation as directed by a supervisorAssist in maintaining a clean work environmentAssist in maintaining a sufficient inventory of food and non-food itemsComplete all required electronic and paper charting, documentation, and data entry of clients as outlined in the appropriate KMHS guidelines, manuals, policies, and procedures.Participate in clinical activities as directed by a supervisor, including but not limited to:Facilitate approved group activitiesConduct ongoing observation and assessment of the client's mental status during each shiftRecord client nutritional intake, sleep, and vitalsRun treatment groups on shiftTake referrals appropriatelyFollow specific behavioral protocols for clients as directed by a supervisorComplete all paperwork involved in providing direct client care, including but not limited to the following:Paperwork relating to admission and dischargeConfidentialityClient rightsClient inventoriesTracking sheetsAttend all mandatory training on time and as scheduled.Keep current on all required documentation (i.e., food handlers permit, counselor licenses, etc.).Minimum Qualifications:EXPERIENCE: Entry level (no prior related work experience)Valid Washington Food Handler card. (can be obtained after hire)LICENSURE: Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration (can be obtained after hire)Preferred Qualifications:EXPERIENCE: Experienced (minimum two years of job-related experience)Relevant experience working with clients with severe and persistent mental illness.Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.Work Environment: Residential treatment facility.Mental/Physical Requirements:Ability to maintain audio and visual observation at all times.Ability to stand and be mobile for long periods.Ability to bend, twist, reach, hold and lift as needed to successfully evade and participate in protective holds against client weight (40 -250lbs).Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.Ability to remain calm and utilize safety training in potentially assaultive client interactions.Ability to move quickly and confidently to assist or intervene in potentially stressful situations.Successful completion of safety training, which includes demonstrating the ability to: maintain balance, torso twist, forward bend, pivot, sidestep, forward and backward step, crouch, move to secure limb, knee touch to ground, kneel, get up from floor sitting or kneeling position.Our recruitment processes are designed to prevent discrimination against our people regardless of gender identity or orientation, religion, ethnicity, age, neurodiversity, disability status, citizenship, or any aspect which makes someone unique.
