Fractional Wine & Spirits Sales Representative – New York

Location: New York City / New York State

About the Opportunity

I’m looking for an experienced New York wine and spirits salesperson who already understands the market, has active account relationships, and wants to add a small portfolio of promising brands to their existing sales activity.

This is not a traditional full-time sales position.

You will work with me across different brands and categories, including wine, spirits, tequila, RTDs, and other emerging products. The portfolio will change and grow based on the brands we bring into the New York market.

The goal is simple: match the right product with the right accounts, secure placements, and help those placements turn into repeat orders.

I am not looking for someone to blindly walk into 50 accounts a day. I want someone who understands how to identify the right buyer, communicate a clear reason for the account to care, and build relationships that lead to real sell-through.

What You’ll Do

• Present selected brands to qualified restaurants, bars, hotels, wine shops, and liquor stores

• Introduce products during your existing account visits and sales routes

• Open new accounts that are a strong fit for each brand

• Follow up with buyers and help turn initial placements into reorders

• Share honest feedback from the market regarding pricing, packaging, positioning, and buyer objections

• Coordinate samples, tastings, staff education, and brand visits when needed

• Maintain simple records of conversations, placements, follow-ups, and reorders

• Work directly with me to decide which brands and accounts deserve the most attention

Who This Is For

This opportunity is best for someone who:

• Has current or recent wine and spirits sales experience in New York

• Already has relationships with on-premise or off-premise buyers

• Currently represents other noncompeting products or has room to add brands

• Understands the difference between getting a placement and building a lasting account

• Is comfortable working independently and managing their own schedule

• Communicates consistently and follows up without needing to be chased

• Can represent different categories rather than being limited to one type of product

• Is willing to give direct, honest feedback when a brand, price, or strategy is not working

What I’m Not Looking For

I’m not looking for someone who wants a list of random accounts and expects the product to sell itself.

I’m also not looking for someone who collects brands but never gives any of them real attention.

The right person will be selective, organized, relationship-driven, and interested in growing alongside the portfolio.

Compensation

This is an independent, commission-based opportunity. Compensation will be clearly established for each brand before work begins and may vary depending on the product, responsibilities, and sales opportunity.

As the portfolio and sales grow, there may be opportunities for additional compensation, market-management responsibilities, brand retainers, and expanded territories.
