Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to inmates within correctional facility settings, adhering to safety and security protocols.
• Assess inmate health status, document findings, and update electronic medical records efficiently.
• Collaborate with correctional staff and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for adverse reactions.
• Maintain professional communication with inmates, providing health education and support while ensuring security standards are met.

Qualifications:

• Valid Nursing license (RN or LPN) in the state of Texas
• CPR certification
• TB test clearance
• Minimum of 2 years of correctional or behavioral health nursing experience
• Ability to work rotating shifts
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations

Preferred Skills:

• First Aid certification
