**NEW** Mobile Service Engineer

Key Responsibilities Carry out planned servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance on both small and larger plant equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and engine faults efficiently. Attend customer breakdowns and minimise equipment downtime. Complete safety inspections and ensure machinery complies with relevant legislation and company standards. Accurately complete job sheets, inspection reports and service records using electronic systems. Maintain a clean, organised and fully stocked service vehicle. Identify additional repair requirements and report them to the Service Controller. Work closely with the service office to plan daily workloads and respond to emergency call‑outs when required. Promote a professional image of B&T Plant Hire Limited at all times. Salary Competitive rate of pay. Key Skills And Qualifications NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or Land-Based Engineering (or equivalent). Proven experience servicing and repairing construction or plant machinery. Strong knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, diesel engine and electrical systems. Ability to diagnose faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment. Full UK driving licence. Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively. Good communication and customer service skills. Strong problem‑solving abilities. Computer literacy for completing electronic job records. Must be self‑motivated and dependable. Professional and courteous. Safety conscious.
