Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Holiday rotation required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department setting
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients presenting with a wide range of acute conditions
• Deliver age-appropriate care including pediatric patient populations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure timely and effective treatment
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in accordance with facility protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience in a large, high-volume hospital setting
• Pediatric emergency nursing experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing high patient acuity and complex emergency cases
• Strong critical thinking and rapid clinical decision-making skills
