Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in a healthcare facility, focusing on providing comprehensive perioperative patient care. The role involves functioning across all three core areas of surgical servicesincluding pre-operative, intra-operative (circulator), and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU)with an emphasis on collaborative team support and adherence to safety standards.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with rotational call encompassing weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Required Qualifications: RN graduate with current Colorado licensure, 3 years of Pre-operative (Pre-op), Operating Room (OR), and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience preferred; ACLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred; scrub experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in technical procedures and care, familiarity with infection control principles, and knowledge of standards set by IAHCSMM, AORN, ASGE, and ASPAN.
• Responsibilities: Conduct assessments, document care, provide emotional support, coordinate patient transfers, recover patients, circulate cases, assist with processing instruments and equipment in sterilization, and prepare patients for surgery. Support other staff members and provide patient education.
• Additional Information: Must have experience in all three areas of surgical services. Ability to perform effectively in highly stressful situations and interact with diverse populations with good communication skills. Physical demands include long periods of standing, walking, and heavy lifting, with exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious risks. Report directly to the Surgical Services Manager or her designee.
