Paralegal/Legal Assistant

We are seeking a full-time paralegal or legal assistant to join our Waco team. This position requires someone who can think critically, communicate professionally, manage multiple responsibilities, and assist attorneys with the drafting and preparation of legal documents. Duties and Responsibilities: Draft and prepare legal documents, correspondence, and other case-related materials under attorney supervision. Support attorneys and assist clients throughout the preparation and completion of their legal matters. Manage attorneys’ calendars, including scheduling client appointments, professional meetings, and other deadlines. Communicate and work professionally with clients, court staff, government agencies, bank officers, attorneys, and other professional contacts. Review information, identify issues, and use critical thinking and good judgment to determine appropriate next steps and when attorney guidance is needed. Maintain excellent grammar, writing, proofreading, and organizational standards. Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude when interacting with clients, coworkers, attorneys, and other professionals. Perform other tasks as assigned to assist the attorneys, office, and clients. Professional and dependable – understands the importance of deadlines, confidentiality, accountability, and completing work accurately and timely. Professional in appearance and attitude – consistently presents themselves in a polished, appropriate manner through dress, demeanor, communication, and conduct. Focused at work – able to maintain appropriate boundaries regarding personal distractions and social media during working hours. Prior paralegal/legal assistant or law office experience is preferred but not required. Administrative experience is a plus. A high school diploma is required. Training will be provided. Compensation and Benefits: Salary will be based on experience, education, and training. Benefits include: Health insurance assistance after 90 days.
