Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular ICU Nurse – Virginia

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Reston, Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 hours per week, 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks

Highlights:

• Exciting opportunity to join a new cardiac surgery program launch
• 4-bed Cardiovascular ICU with primary nursing model
• Patient ratios of 1:1 for immediate post-surgical patients and 1:2 for POD 1-3
• EMR: Meditech Expanse
• Float policy maintains equivalent ratios when floating to other units
• Advanced technology including balloon pump, Impella, and hemosphere/acumen systems

Requirements:

• Current RN license in Virginia (or eligible for licensure)
• 1-2 years of experience with fresh cardiac surgery patients with direct primary recovery
• ACLS certification required
• Experience with balloon pump, Impella training, hemosphere or acumen preferred
• BLS certification required
