Awake Overnight Youth Counselor

Mount Prospect Academy seeks an Awake Overnight Youth Counselor to support at-risk youth in a residential, educational setting. In this role, you will supervise students throughout overnight hours, maintain safety and security, and follow trauma-informed practices. Responsibilities include monitoring dorms, conducting bed checks, de-escalating behaviors, documenting observations, and implementing individualized behavior and treatment plans. You’ll collaborate with teachers, clinicians, and residential staff, communicate clearly in reports and handoffs, and participate in ongoing training to build skills in crisis intervention, youth development, and therapeutic engagement.
