Position Available Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Eatontown, NJ is excited to announce we are looking for a full‑time X‑Ray/Radiology technician to join our busy emergency and specialty practice. The right candidate will have some experience as a veterinary assistant, will manage all the radiographs scheduled for both emergent and specialty cases, and will have the opportunity to be trained on running our CT. About GSVS: We are a multispecialty practice with boarded veterinary specialists in emergency and critical care, surgery, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, dermatology, cardiology, rehabilitation, and ophthalmology. We have also been treating felines with hyperthyroid disease with radioactive iodine since 2001 and pride ourselves on our VTS staff in internal medicine and cardiology. We are not your typical veterinary hospital. Responsibilities Oversee patients that require radiographs in both emergency and specialty Safely prepare and position patients for radiographs Attend to patient’s needs during imaging Provide empathy, comfort, and nursing care to all patients; act as patient advocate during hospitalization Maintain all equipment per‑use, ensuring safety and optimal practice care of all patients Qualifications At least 1 year experience as a veterinary technician Comfortable taking direction from doctors and technicians Updated knowledge of radiation protection and safety knowledge Prioritize patient’s depending on severity and time of admit Comprehensive understanding of the different radiograph techniques Strong communication skills, verbal and written; organizational skills; proactive thinking and a positive attitude are also a must Positive outlook and ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long‑term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community is required Excellent communication and organizational skills are required Honesty, integrity, and a desire to learn and have fun Schedule 4‑day schedule including one weekend day, 8 AM – 7 PM Salary Competitive wages based on experience Benefits Competitive salary based on your level of experience Health, dental, and vision insurance, with HSA option – some plans paid 100% Maternity/Paternity leave Retirement Plan – 401K with employer match Licensing fees paid for credentialed technicians Employee Referral Bonus Paid Time off Mental health support with Talkspace Uniforms provided Full‑time and credentialed technicians eligible for sign‑on bonus Pet discounts for medical care Garden State Veterinary Specialists is located at 246 Industrial Way, Eatontown, NJ 07724.
