Job Overview Pharmacist, Clinical Staff I – Day/Evening (Full time). Facility: Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, 1906 Belleview Ave SE, Roanoke, VA. Sign‑on bonus up to $30,000 with up to $10,000 for relocation. Responsibilities Address pharmacokinetic medication needs and utilize P&T approved pharmacy protocols. Optimize patients’ medication regimens across the continuum of care. Support work in decentralized zones: 5 adult patient care zones, 1 pediatric zone, and 1 medication history zone. Assist with trainee precepting, committee participation, process improvement, and research activities. Consult healthcare providers on medication therapy and provide drug information. Respond to patient emergencies and review medication orders for accuracy. Prepare sterile and non‑sterile compounding, adhering to SOPs. Ensure timely delivery of medications. Educate pharmacy staff, nurses, clinicians, students, residents, patients, and families. Maintain competency in all clinical pharmacy technologies and pharmaceutical care practices. Support institutional clinical pharmacy initiatives and maintain compliance with regulations. Qualifications & Experience Graduate of an ACPE‑accredited College of Pharmacy (PharmD). Preferred: ASHP‑accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or equivalent hospital experience. Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, teamwork, critical thinking, and analytical skills. Ability to budget time, work efficiently, and follow procedures with minimal supervision. Proficient with general office equipment, computer use, and keyboarding. Licensure & Certification Valid license to practice Pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Virginia required within 90 days of hire.
