Supervisor, Manheim Mobile Inspections, Missouri

Position Title Supervisor, Manheim Mobile Inspections – Cox Automotive, USA Compensation Base salary range: $61,100.00 – $91,700.00, plus potential incentive program. Travel Travel required: 25% of the time. Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of 10 to 15+ Mobile Inspectors across a geographic territory. Ensure inspection quality, productivity, and safety objectives are met. Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and perform ongoing performance management of Mobile Inspectors. Implement Lean Daily Management, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Build strong relationships with internal partners (Dispatch, Quality Assurance) and external partners (auctions, sales, remote dealer services). Coordinate with the Manager and boundary partners to align on client expectations. Provide coaching, corrective action, and discipline as needed. Conduct vehicle inspections and floorplan audits as required. Review KPIs and LDM metrics, and prepare tactical plans. Procure, distribute, and track company equipment. Model and enforce safety behaviors and health procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. 5+ years of relevant experience in a related field. Preferred: 1 year of team‑leadership experience. Experience with mobile inspections and/or floorplan audits preferred. Preferred: background in body shop, mechanical, or estimating work. Required Knowledge & Skills General understanding of frame and body repairs and mechanical concepts. Technical and computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, scheduling & routing software, and vehicle inspection applications. Business acumen, analytical skills, and effective communication (written and verbal). Strong organizational and customer‑focused skills. Ability to set priorities, solve problems, and work with remote supervision. Vision abilities: close, distance, and depth perception. Work Conditions Regular exposure to outside environmental conditions; must have a valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and ability to travel within the region. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking for prolonged periods; bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling; lifting up to 30 pounds; exposure to moderate noise, fumes, and odors.
